The hangman gives a smile

Too soon my life is over
never will I waste the wine
Some call it misfortune

A knitting lady sings songs
Ditties about Strange fruit
Her husband was a sailor
Played jew’s harp and a flute

I admit I wasn’t legit

I had to fight to get a life
