This song is for and about Nigel Goodwin who is now in a secure care home. After GID folded as a trio Nige wrote some songs of his own. One of them had the riff that opens this song. I was so impressed with it that I learned it and continued to play it decades later during idle moments practising on my guitar.

After Nige's dementia got so bad he had to be put into a secure unit, I wanted him to be remembered for his musical talent so I've used his riff and credited him as co-writer. I'm missing you, dude.

My thanks to Graeme Linaker (who also made music with Nige) for contributing additional guitar.
